Neben der hochwertigen Bildqualität ermöglichen umfangreiche Ergonomiefunktionen eine perfekte Ausrichtung des Displays nach individuellen Anforderungen. Optik und Mechanik Geradezu unscheinbar ist das optische Auftreten des iiyama XUB2792UHSU. Das Gehäuse und auch der Standfuß des Monitors sind einheitlich in schwarzer Farbe gehalten, mit matter, leicht rauer Oberflächenbeschaffenheit. Die Haptik wirkt wertig, da die Kunststoffteile passgenau gefertigt und nicht zu dünn sind. An drei Seiten wurde auf eine breite Einrahmung verzichtet, was Vorteile im Mehrschirmbetrieb mit sich bringt. Seitlich ist das Gehäuse nur 1,4 cm tief, wird zur Gehäusemitte aber tiefer, um der Elektronik den notwendigen Platz zu schaffen. Auf der Gehäuserückseite befindet sich im oberen Bereich, mittig platziert, der Herstellerschriftzug in grauer Schrift. Sonstige besondere Merkmale gibt es nicht. Lediglich an der unteren Display-Kante befindet sich ein etwa 2,5 cm hoher Rahmen. Dieser ist ebenfalls aus Kunststoff, ahmt aber die Oberfläche von gebürstetem Aluminium nach. Neben dem mittig platzierten Herstellerschriftzug bietet der Rahmen den Bedientasten den notwendigen Platz. Es sind jeweils 45 Grad nach links und rechts möglich. Die Mechanik arbeitet sehr präzise, ist nicht zu leicht-, aber auch nicht zu schwergängig. Die Neigung des Bildschirms kann ebenfalls angepasst werden: um etwa 5 Grad nach unten und bis zu 21 Grad nach oben. Und selbst die Drehung auf Hochkant (Pivot) ist beim iiyama XUB2792UHSU vorhanden. In dieser Display-Stellung sind sowohl Neigung wie auch seitliche Drehung möglich, und die Display-Höhe kann immerhin noch zwischen 1,5 und 4,5 cm justiert werden. Drehung des Displays auf Hochkant (Pivot) Sollte trotzdem eine alternative Befestigungsmöglichkeit gewünscht werden, ist das dank der VESA-100-Halterung ebenfalls möglich. Die Befestigungsschrauben sind bereits vorhanden, da auch der originale Standfuß diese Halterung verwendet. Die VESA-Halterung wird auch vom originalen Standfuß verwendet Beim iiyama XUB2792UHSU muss der Standfußteller vor Inbetriebnahme montiert werden. Mittels drei Schrauben kann dies jedoch einfach und schnell erledigt werden. Werkzeug wird für die Montage nicht benötigt. Der Standfußteller ist etwa 30 cm breit und 23 cm tief. Wir haben nachgemessen: In der Werkseinstellung mit maximaler Backlight-Helligkeit ermitteln wir einen Stromverbrauch von 34,6 Watt. Die Herstellerangabe wird somit fast exakt eingehalten. Im Ruhemodus liegt der Stromverbrauch mit 0,1 Watt jedoch deutlich unter dem angegebenen Wert, und im Soft-off verbraucht der Proband gar keinen Strom mehr. Wir haben noch einige zusätzliche Messungen durchgeführt, denn der Monitor besitzt einen Eco-Modus, der werkseitig ausgeschaltet ist, aber in drei Stufen eingestellt werden kann. Dla porównania – mój służbowy monitor (iiyama ProLite E2483HS) posiada matrycę 24-calową okutaną 1,5-centymetrowymi ramkami bocznymi. W efekcie szerokość monitora wyniosła 56,5 cm. Testowany ProLite przy przekątnej 27-cali i braku ramek ma tylko 3 cm szerokości więcej. I nie da się ukryć, że 3 cale więcej na długości przekątnej przekładają się na odczuwalnie większy ekran i przez to – komfort pracy. Cały zestaw, czyli monitor wraz z podstawą, waży ok. 7,5 kg, więc w żaden sposób nie przeraża wagą. Z pewnością nie będzie dla nikogo zaskoczeniem fakt, że monitor w całości wykonany jest z tworzywa. Dokładniej – matowego i posiadającego jednolitą, delikatnie chropowatą fakturę plastiku. Maksymalnie bezpieczna bryła urządzenia powinna bez problemu wkomponować się w wystrój każdego biura czy gabinetu. Mi biały kolor od razu kojarzy się z wyposażeniem przychodni czy szpitala. Całość dobrze komponuje się z podstawą monitora, wykończoną identycznie jak sam monitor – biały mat i chropowata faktura na całej powierzchni. Ponadto, w obudowie nie znalazłem żadnych szpar lub innych niedoskonałości świadczących o nie najlepszym spasowaniu poszczególnych elementów urządzenia. Porty, głośniki oraz menu Testowany ProLite posiada dość podstawowy, ale jednocześnie wystarczający zazwyczaj zestaw portów. Pod spodem, po prawej stronie znajdują się trzy wejścia wideo: DVI-D, HDMI oraz DisplayPort. Po lewej stronie znajduje się gniazdo zasilania oraz wejście i wyjście audio. Na prawym boku umieszczono jeszcze niewielki hub składający się z dwóch gniazd USB Z czystym sumieniem mogę powiedzieć, że to wystarczy do wyposażenia naszego biurka i to pewnie z nawiązką. Poza tym, pod gniazdami USB znajduje się gniazdo USB-B służące jako upstream. Po połączeniu monitora z komputerem z pomocą przewodu USB-A – USB-B, hub monitora będzie pełnił rolę huba dla peceta. Wypadają także pod tym kątem nieco lepiej od podobnej klasy matryc VA, chociaż tutaj różnice już nie są aż tak wyraźne, szczególnie w przypadku kątów widzenia. Testy kolorymetrem wyraźnie potwierdziły moją hipotezę ze wstępu – zdecydowanie jest to monitor do bardziej zaawansowanych zadań, niż te wiążące się z oglądaniem przez osiem godzin białego tła arkuszu kalkulacyjnego, dokumentu albo klienta poczty. Jestem w stanie nawet pokusić się o stwierdzenie, że z racji parametrów oraz obecności technologii synchronizacji adaptacyjnej od AMD – FreeSyncu – monitor może zainteresować graczy oraz osoby zajmujące się obróbką materiałów wideo albo grafiki. Tym bardziej, że obsługuje on 10-bitową głębię kolorów (8 bit + FRC). Kolorymetrem pokazał, że pokrycie palety sRGB wynosi 97%, co jest całkiem niezłą wartością. Na kontrast i czerń także nie można narzekać, szczególnie, że sam panel jest dość mocno podświetlony (prawie 350 nitów, czyli tyle, ile deklarował producent). Niewielki zarzut mam tylko do równości podświetlenia. Testy pokazały, że boczne krawędzie są podświetlone nieco słabiej niż środek ekranu. Na szczęście nie widać tego przy codziennym korzystaniu z monitora, nawet podczas wyświetlania jednolitego tła, więc nie przeszkadza w czasie pracy. Pod kątem stylistycznym właściwie nie ma nad czym się rozwodzić, gdyż wszystko jest w porządku. Brak bocznych i górnej ramki nie dość, że podnosi estetykę monitora, to po prostu sprawia, że na sam ekran patrzy się przyjemniej. Dobrze wypadła też regulowana podstawa, pozwalająca na dowolne ustawienie monitora. Niby nic wielkiego, ale podejrzewam, że nie raz i nie dwa mogliście irytować się pracując przed wyświetlaczem, którego nie można sobie podnieść, czy zmienić kąt nachylenia. Najbardziej zaskoczyła mnie tu obecność technologii FreeSync, ale tak właściwie, to podkreśla ona wszystko to, co pisałem wcześniej – wszechstronność monitora. Uważam że jeżeli ktoś w obecnej sytuacji przeniósł się z siedziby firmy na home office i potrzebuje jednego monitora, który nada się do pracy, a później umożliwi komfortowe obejrzenie serialu, a nawet zagranie w jakiś tytuł – wszystko w dość niezłej jakości obrazu – to ProLite XUB2792QSU jest całkiem ciekawym wyborem.
